ouch, i actually winced as i was reading that. stupid stupid nurse, i normally love nurses, and think that they do more work than doctors for way way less pay and way more headache, but come on. medical practictioners really need to be more sensitive. i mean, really, what would have happened had your son not put the wrist band on? obviously nothing horrible happened as he didn't, and you put it on. anyway, as you know, we are all here for you. keep us updated on your son and his poory finger. is there anything you can do to distract him from his hand? like stuff that he's not normally allowed to do, or doesn't get to do very often that you can distract him with? you said he has sensory issues, can he watch movies? maybe take him to the movies to see a cartoon or something. i really don't have enough experience/knowledge about autism and other sensory issue stuff to help with ways to get him to keep the bandage on. so, good luck and good thoughts.

oh hugs to you and your son, I know it is tough seeing your our child in pain and there is nothing you really can do, this is the hard part. Iam sending some smilys just for him hope this makes him smile
I'll keep him in my thoughts, the poor baby! I am sooo sorry that both of you had to go through all of this, what a terrible thing to experience.
And that nurse, sadly there is no accounting for medical caregivers behaviors. When you calm down, you should write the Board of the Directors of the hospital and let them know the poor treatment your son had to undergo. She really could have been sympathetic in light of the fact he is just a child. I hope you got her name.
