IMO $70 each is VERY sufficient.  Are you looking to get the all the same gift or each a different gift?  What about buying them a nice classic piece of jewelry that they can wear for the wedding and keep for afterwards too?

Go to Tiffany's there is a pretty silver bracelet there that is $80 and that would be a nice thing for them to wear again.

Here's some engraveable silver stuff from Blue Nile, all under $70.  I ordered a necklace from there for Christmas, and I was pleased with their service.

Sterling Silver Monogram BangleSterling Silver Wide Domed Cuff Bangle

Sterling Silver Small Round Locket

I got something similar to this as a bridesmaid gift this summer, and I always keep it with me.  It has my initial in pretty scrolled font and the wedding date on the other side

Heart Compact Mirror - Engravable

Of course, I also love anything from Peggy Li (use STYLEBAKERY to get 20% off, too):

My wedding was just over 4 years ago, but I bought my BMs a thing called a "wish pearl."  It's this cool little set that comes w/ a preserved oyster.  The girl cracks it open to reveal the pearl inside.  The color of the pearl dictates the girl's fortune.  The set comes with a little heart-shaped cage locket and the chain.  You put the pearl into it.  I had them wear this as their necklace w/ their dresses (since part of my theme was also hearts).  I also bought them purple bead bracelets.

oh that is such a cute idea. my cousin just got married this summer and she framed a picture of herself and whichever bridemaid she was giving it to.  It was a nice little sentiment.

you are a wedding planning machine!  i think you are way more than doing okay in your progress so far!

as for bm gifts...i know jewelry is a classic choice, but honestly, all the jewelry i've ever gotten for being a bm was either completely not my style or just like something i already had.  it's tough to try and give everyone the same thing and still give them something individual to each girl.  i know smash gave her bm's pearl necklaces and choose very unique and different ones for each girl...none were the typical strand of pearls.  i guess my friends just aren't as thoughtful.   also if the jewelry isn't something you mean for them to wear for the wedding, they will still probably feel like they should.  just some things to consider...

i gave my bm's a bag full of stuff from Sephora.  i also put an adorable frame that matched my wedding colors, selfish i know, but i just couldn't resist, with a pic of me and each of my respective bm's.  but budget was a little less, i think i aimed for about $50 each, but i had 5 bms, 3 junior bms and a flower girl and ring bearer to buy for.   i know it's all stuff that gets used up, but i don't delude myself that they have the same desire to memorialize my wedding that i do.  plus i'm sort of obsessed with giving consumable items as gifts...so maybe that's just me.  i put in a philosophy 3-in-1 in one of their "wedding party" scents (bubbly, bouquet, wedding cake), one of those Cargo 30-day lipgloss packs, some nail polish, a cute little satin exotic-y makeup bag, i think some rosebud salve, just fun stuff.  i know that they all loved it.

edited to change: decided i didn't want to post a picture of one of my bm's without asking...
