So what is the cut off point of income where you don't have to pay taxes? Seriously, I have a part-time job, make hardly any money from it (the only reason I am staying is for the health insurance) but yet again this year I am paying taxes?!!! I use the H&R Block Turbo Tax. Today's payday for two weeks over $50 went to tax
the cut off point would be where your income is less than your standard deduction plus your personal deduction (not sure your filing status so I don't know which amount that would be for you). Also how are you filing your taxes? ie: Single, married filing joint? married filing separately?
I'm filing single, no dependents or anything. I made more than $5000 for sure but less than $10,000. I thought it was less than $10,000 that you didn't have to pay anything, guess I was wrong! Gosh I wish I was over 25 so I can get the EIC!
