MJ Blake owners

After drooling over this bag for the past month and even visiting it at my local Neimans...I think I just might get this bag.  It would be..by far..my most splurgiest purchase ever (and hopefully for a long time to come).  For current blake owners..how is your bag holding up?  Do you still love your bag?

i don't have the blake but i do own the multipocket in black and another mj style in winter white (i can't find the name or a picture of it), and both have held up incredibly well, probably better than any other bag i've owned.  i used the multipocket as my everyday bag for over a year and i would say that over time it actually started looking BETTER and the leather got even softer.

i still love both of my bags and wear them every once in a while - i really think they'll be something that i'll wear for a very long time to come.

the blake is beautiful, you really can't go wrong with it.  i hope you get it!

i have had my blake for about a year now, and i still love it.  mine is cherry blossom.  it's a beauty.  it started to get a bit dirty, and i just put some of the coach cleaing or moisurizing lotion on it?  and it was spotless.  buy it buy it buy it.

it was my slurgiest splurge too.

I got this very same bag for Christmas after, like you, I kept visiting it at Neimans the boyfriend got the hint.  Mine is the caramel color (bcs the boyfriend thought it was more unique) and so far its perfect!  I adore it and I get a lot of compliments on it.  I think the quiliting really refreshes the look of the bag.

The only complaint I have about the bag is that its EXTREMELY heavy but I found that to be the case with most MJ bags.  I wouldnt carry this if I went out shopping bcs that would be way too much to juggle on top of shopping bags.  Right now I'm carrying to and from work and its not soo bad.

I think you should totally get it!!!

How heavy is it?  Is it really bulky when you carry it?  Tell me more!   I can't get enough about the blake!

MJ bags are notorious for being heavy - I have the stella - even empty I think it weighs like 7 lbs. - BUT I looooooove it - and would buy another MJ bag in a heartbeat. The blake is fab!!!!!!

Like JMR said, its extremely heavy even when empty.  I have a hard time holding it for an extended period of time but it doesnt stop me from carrying it as I love it like a beautiful leathery pet.  I aboslutley love this bag so much that I find myself just stroking the bag and admiring the details (the stiching is perfect and the light gold hardware is tdf!).

I think because the bag is so heavy I dont worry that it'll get dinged up and damaged.  I usually baby my bags but with this one, I know it'll last forever.  The bag holds its shape really well and its extremely structured.  Because of the classic blake shape (two large zipped sections with a middle unzipped section) I find that it holds A LOT of stuff and it keeps me organized.

Overall, I think this bag is perfect.  Its my first MJ and I dont think it will be my last.
