I need serious help with my head!

specifically the hair part of my head... I desperately need a cut.  My hair currently looks something like this - bangs in eyes, etc... am thinking of going a bit shorter and with some styling. I don't like to spend much time on my hair - quick blow dry and run a flat iron through it (at an angle so it has a loose curl at the ends) I really do need some length - short hair looks awful on me



I am thinking about something like Nicole Richie's hair -

Do you think that would look good on me? I wear my hair up in a messy twist a lot too... Any other suggestions? I am open and need help!

I do think her style would look cute on you. I could also see you with a Naomi Watts in King Kong look - smooth and wavy. Your hair is so thick and pretty, I think styles that play on its natural body would look good (like in the last Nicole pic).

Are you considering color at all. Eva Mendes has some new highlights that look really pretty and might not be too obvious with your hair ... can't find a pic right now though. I'll keep looking.

I like the Nicole Richie look... it's very versatile (which sounds like something you need) and it would frame your face beautifully.

I was just reading your post, and without even seeing that you suggested maybe nicole richie hair, that was exactly my thoughts, I think that would look great on you, and its not going to be that dramatic of a change from your hair now, since you would still have sweeping bangs, i think it would just be a little more structured.. and would definitely be easy to do.  I say go for it!

My hair is similiar to yours. About 2 inches shorter and thinner but same style...I was thinking about Nicole Ritchie's style but I would add a tad bit of length just for those days when my hair won't even go back in a messy bun nicely.

a bob is universally flattering, so it would definitely work for you and cut your blowdrying time. i would ask your stylist to cut your bangs on more of an angle so they sweep to the side like hers does, without getting in your eyes all the time.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!


Lisa - I'm pretty low-maintenance when it comes to hair/cosmetics - so keeping up with color/highlights is not in the plan - but thanks for the suggestion


Erin - thanks for the suggestion - I wish there was a diagram I could give the stylist so there's nothing left to interpretation...


my hair does grow fast, so if I don't like it, I know it will grow out fairly quickly...
