for some reason i can't get it out of my head that i need a bubble skirt in my wardrobe.  i'd prefer one that could be worn casually or dressed up (can a bubble skirt be casual?), a comfortable fabric.

has anyone seen any?  tried any on?  do you like them in general?

do you live near a zara? i got a really cute one from there at the end of november. it's actually exactly what you're looking for. it's made out of a jersey knit material, and looks good with dressier stuff and more casual stuff. i actually wore it causually with a tee and a down vest. plus it was like $25.

in general i like bubble skirts...but then my style is more "trendy." i think it's a fresh shape, and as long as the bottom is not too poufy it will look cute.

h & m had some the other day when i was in but they were the tulle material...not exactly something you can dress down. but i do agree with honey...they look great dressed down with a tee. oh...i just had visions of the summer time and a cute printed bubble skirt with a tank top and flip flops! dammit, im so ready for spring.

I got one last week and wore it for New Years and I love it. I found this XOXO skirt on sale in the Parisian (local department store) juniors department for $31. I think bubble skirts are pretty trendy so I wouldn't invest a whole lot of money on one, but that's your call.

Here's mine. It's actually a poplin material so it can be worn during the day and I just dressed it up for NYE. There's a picture of how I wore it under thread style.

If you want a cute, cheap casual one, this one from Target is adorable, at least in the picture. I've never tried it on, but it's only $12.99

Here are some other really cute ones...

oOoo I actually really like the target ones. They seem like a good length.

Here is a somewhat dressier version by necessary objects. I think it would be cute for work.

the first one i saw was a while ago, and it was a bcbg one.  i then saw the necessary objects one and it looks really nice for the price.  i would try to test out a couple and see which one has the right amount of puffiness for you!

I went to Target and didn't see any in stores, but at another store, I saw some in the girls section, but it was way too poofy.  I'm bot sure if the one's in the junior section are the same brand..
