BR instore and online prices

Maybe I just never noticed this....I bought these shoes in the BR store today for $29.99 and they are on bananarepublic.com for $89.99.  What's up with that?  A $60 difference in price?!!

Almost every store does this.  I went to the VS sale today, and the same undies that were on sale for $9 online were $6 in the store.  Websites don't usually have to discount as heavily to sell their stock because the exposure is greater, instead of like at a B&M store where they're limited by their geographic location and space.

Which is why I rarely buy online .

Mostly, it's because the retail store and the website are different companies. I know AE is like this. One does not control the other, they're separate.

Couldn't have  said this better....THE WORST! Although they don't tell you when you call Anthro has the ability to check what is selling for in the B&M then order it for you for the lower price if applicable.
