I'm so irritated right now. Do you ever just get to the point where you are just sick of people? My cousin's birthday was yesterday and she had no plans so I offered to take her out to lunch and she blew me off stating she was going to get bloody mary's with some of her friends. So we made plans to go work out today and hang out at my gym and she blows me off because she's too hung over. I'm tired of it. I'm so sick of people who make plans and then cancel. I swear it's like an epidemic already like it's ok to make plans and blow people off. I could have worked out already and been back home and on to something else. Sorry for venting I also have PMS which is adding to my being so upset by this. I just hate rudeness.

I agree 100%! I would like to know when this became acceptable social behavior?!? It always makes me feel like I care more about them than they do about me, which in turn makes me feel like a loser.
Bleh! Screw 'em.

i totally understand too! i consider my time valuable, so flaky people realllly get on my nerves, especially when I could have planned something else or done something else with that time i set aside for them.
I couldn't agree more! This kind've thing pisses me off, too. Another thing: excessive lateness. I have one friend who is consistently 30-45 minutes late for everything we do. She'll leave me sitting at a restaurant for half an hour by myself waiting for her. Grrrr.

I just really look forward to spending time with my friends, so when they cancel plans, it's like they weren't as excited to see me as I was to see them. I just can't help taking it very personally.
I'm completely agree. Last week i made plans to meet a girlfriend of mine for drinks. I invited my best girlfriend to come along since she knows her too. We sat there for 45 minutes waiting for her to show up. I finally checked my home messages on my friend's cell phone and the late girlfriend had left me a message telling me she was tired and wouldnt be showing up. She left me this message 30 minutes after the time that we had arranged to meet so needless to say, i would have not gotten it "in time" since it was already past the time that we were supposed to meet.
If my best friend would not have been there i would have been waiting by myself and i hate that.
