Hubby and I are torn about names and we like both of these pretty much equally, well he does at least. So I though I'd get some more opinions.
Madison Virginia
McKenna Virginia
Virginia is a family name so it has to stay...Our last name begins with an R so I do not want that repeated in the first name. But I'm open to other ideas, though I'm not sure about the hubby.
Both Madison and McKenna are very, very trendy right now. If that's not something that would bother you, then I think either would be fine, but her chances of ending up Madison R. in school is much higher then it would be with a name that's less of-the-moment.
What is it about the names that you like? The M? 3 syllables? The origins?

Thanks Elle, we understand they are popular names right now. I don't think it bothers us too much. Originally that is why I shyed aways from Madison, but since it's one we agree we both like it came back...
Noe sure what about these names rings with us, if I knew better I bet I could make more stick. Hubby is the hard to please one with this.
I like both the names Madison and McKenna. Madison Virginia sounds a little bit colonial for my taste (Madison being one of the founding fathers and Virginia being one of the 13 colonies...just the two of them together sound colonial for lack of a better word). Also, Madison, VA is a town, for what it's worth.
I like McKenna and I think McKenna Virginia sounds nice together.
Other 'M' names are:
Meredith
Macy
Madeline (I love Madeline, plus you could still call her Maddie!)
im not really digging either name, sorry. madison virginia really does sound too colonial to me, and mckenna doesn't sound like a first name to me. but what about mckenzie? im just trying to picture how your little baby will feel when she's sixteen and sitting in homeroom waiting for roll call. or when she's in her mid twenties meeting men and going on job interviews. however....i really really really like madeline virginia. and ncshopper is right....you could still call her maddie!
having said that i must also state that i would actually just wait until she's born and then figure it out when you first hold her. i really feel like at that moment you will know what her name is. sorta like on that friends episode when rachel first holds her baby and she's trying to name her and monica gives her her baby's name she had picked out already. correct me if im wrong, cause im not really up on the baby naming thing, but what's the harm of having a couple of pretty names to go and then just waiting till you meet her to decide? ya never know...she might not like madison virginia either! she might look at you and say "mommy...seriously, my name is Catherine Virginia / Gwendolyn Virginia / XYZ"

This is what I told hubby, Madison, VA. is a place not a person So I myself was leaning towards McKenna.

That's exactly what happened to my parents when I was born. They had picked out the name Abby and as soon as my dad held me (apparently) he said "She's not an Abby, she's Lindsey" and that was that.
I like the idea of having a bunch of good names on hand and just wait to see what feels right. Plus it'll be a fun surprise for the family and your older daughter.

I like the idea of this but it also scares me. What if we hold her and nothing fits?! What if she's none of the names we though we liked?! Okay hormones are getting to me now I need to set this aside for now.
