That looks like an awesome outfit to me!  Are you wearing the boots over or under the jeans?  If you're wearing them over, that might be the reason for the looks - boots over jeans is probably more fashion forward than many people are used to.  Regardless, I'm sure you look fantastic!

it's the boots.  are your jeans tucked in?  i really like them, but i'm sure people just haven't seen much of this.  and yes, the stare-ers probably can't dress or were wearing sweats and t-shirts.

the boots are under my jeans.  i live in a town that is small and poe-dunk.  i try not to get too over dressed, because people look at me funny.  all anybody wears around here is tennis shoes, jeans, sweatshirts, nothing fashionable.  we have one mall that has a mervyns, jc penny, sears, wetseal, aeropostal, vans, barnes and noble.  and that's about it.  i do all my shopping on line.  we do have two wal-marts and a target though.  but as you can imagine, everyone around here thinks "fancy clothes are for movie stars".   but i didn't think i did it up too much today.

and the boots are not as bad on the feet as they look.  they are almost comfy.  but you do need taller socks with them. 

maybe im having a there's something about mary thing going on.

when i bought those boots, i was in LA with a freind of mine for her bachelorette party and we walked into the store and it was the first time in my life i didn't look at another pair of shoes in the store.  i saw them went straight for them and that was it.  and the are the first boots that i have owned that fit my calves. all of my other boots i have had to take to a repair shop to have the calves taken in because i have skinny calves.  and they look killer with my black pencil skirt.

They could be.  Where do you live?  j/k I think your outfit is really cute.  Don't worry about what "they" think. I'm sure is't envy bec. that is usually the case.
