How long does n/p last?

Does anyone know how long nailpolish lasts? I really want to buy a bottle of one of the new spring Chanel colors, but I already have 5 bottles of Chanel, and don't want to keep buying it if it will only last a year or two. Thanks!

I think nailpolish is good for a year or so.

IMO nailpolish is good until the texture, smell, or durability of the polish changes.

Thanks! I'm not going to buy any more nail polish for a while since I don't use it fast enough to warrant buying a $20 bottle.

Most of my polishes have lasted for more than a year. Don't throw them out if they seem to be fine after the year mark. Only throw them out if the top is sticky and you can't open it, the color has changed, they sit in the sun, the top has a nasty film that looks like oil, or the consistency has gone from smooth to glue-like. Those are my rules. HTH

I'd say longer then a year, but if it gets a little gunky you can always purchase a nail polish thinner in a store like Sally Beauty. It's inexpensive and a few drops does stretch the life of the polish without effecting the color or texture.

Just follow the directions on the bottle.
