I think it's fine and that pieces should be considered seasonal based on fabric instead of color. Like a pair of white wool pants or even white jeans would be appropriate for winter but white linen and other light fabrics are better for spring/summer.
i agree with tri sarah tops completely...but personally, white pants scare me regardless of season. anything lighter than light tan and i get freaked about stains and such.

I remember one of the first Lucky mags I saw had a model wearing white jeans/olive sweater/tan boots. It looked absolutely great (this was before the outfits turned freaky)
thanks ladies well I was going to wear my white pants but was not sure , it felt strange at first but damn it warmed up to 73 so I should have worn them
I love white pants. As for keeping them clean, for some reason I stain khakis every time, but you can bleach white, so they always seem to stay cleaner. Oh, dry cleaners are really bad with white, though, so it's best if the pants can be cleaned at home.
