hair loss help....
Permalink Closed

This is actually for my mom...she has hypothyroidism and that causes her to lose some of her hair. She is looking for something that will prevent her from losing her hair (well not all of it, but will help it out). Are there any pills, shampoos, or other treatments out there that you ladies know of? Thanks for your help!

I have heard that the shampoo/coditioner line called Nioxin Is a miracle worker for that. It may not fix the problem but definitely help out. My hair "shedds" a lot and I was actually sure I was going bald, I was wrong, but this was recommended by the lady at the store. A customer actually came in and told me how great it worked for her. I like it pretty well, but because my case was not really extream, besides paranoia, I didn't notice a radical difference. It seems like it works more for extream cases.

I'm going to recommend Nioxin as well.  They have a great line for hair loss and if you can find someone who really knows the line well- they will be able to help you out tremendously.

My BF has used the line for over a year now and even though i work for a competitor- i know it's the best line out there for hair loss.  He is in the early stages of it- a little in the back crown area and its starting to recede in the front.  Friends of ours who hadn't seen him for a while recently commented on how good his hair looks and that they don't know what he is doing but to keep on doing it.

Trade Secret, Ulta and Beauty Firsts should all carry this brand.  I am sure you can go to their websites and find salons that carry it as well.
