Still hunting for just the right shoes for my wedding (in July), but I actually have to think about buying some fairly soon so I'll have them to wear for upcoming alterations.
Here's the dress (sorry the pic is kinda dark): Silver/crystal/pearl beading along waist, crystal button down the back, diamond-white satin.
Here are some 'finalists' - Which do you guys like best?
#1
$177 - Bluefly doesn't currently have my size, so I'd have to stalk these and hope for the best. They're silver satin, so hopefully I could wear them after the wedding, too.
#2
$80 - dove gray satin, so I could keep them for possible after-wedding wear. Also come in silver satin:
#3
#4
$275 - not sure if I could wear these again because the rhinestones make them uber-fancy.
#5
$46 - the color is called 'platinum', even though they look kinda gold online. These are so much fun, and I would definitely be able to wear them again. My only concern is that they could be irritating to the bottom back of the heel, so I might have to order them to see. If they are too gold looking IRL, they'd be out of the running.
I'm having a hard time deciding . I think all of these would be fairly comfortable and I like the style of all of them. You guys know my style pretty well - what do you think?

I like # 1 and I agree you can wear them to your upcoming wedding, but the last pair is beautiful if it comes in silver or satin white I saw go with those , if not # 1
i like the nina ones best, too, and not only because they are really pretty--ninas are usually fairly comfortable, and you will be on your feet and dancing, etc.
.....but shouldn't the shoes be white? wouldn't that work best? i don't know a lot about weddings but im having a hard time seeing silver shoes with a white wedding dress. i just think that silver might look funny with the white. other married folks? what's the deal? is silver okay? ive only been to three weddings and only from one of them i remember the color of shoes (it was white).
also...if you aren't totally sold on any of the shoes yet can you just buy a $15 pair from somewhere with the same heel height for the fittings?
your dress is beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
those white shoes you posted later are perfect, i think. personally, i would be more comfortable in white shoes with my white wedding gown.

Relrel - I'm okay with silver shoes with my gown for a couple reasons - It has silver embroidery around the waist, and my jewelry is silver so silver shoes wouldn't look terribly out of place IMO. Also, nobody is really going to be seeing a whole lot of your shoes. And, I was hoping that by possibly getting silver shoes it would enable me to wear them again after the wedding - I'm not sure what I will/would do with white shoes other than stare at them or sell them on Ebay.
And my dress isn't actually a true white - it's real silk satin, which doesn't come in 'true' stark white. Makes matching 'white' shoes a little more difficult, and 'ivory' is usually too dark and ends up looking dirty against the dress. I know I didn't realize that there were 327 different colors of white until I started shopping for dresses, oy !

i change my vote. i like the blue ones. that is a cute idea to have them as your something blue. that is funny. i wore red shoes under my wedding dress.
I have the nina shoes in black and they are one of the comfiest pairs of evening shoes I have. I added those foot petals to the bottom and they're good to go. I've worn them to a couple of weddings and didn't mind being on my feet all night.
