Business Casual?

The bf is taking me out to eat for my birthday on Jan. 2 at Compass Restaurant located at the Hyatt Regency. The dress code is business causual. I have no idea what to wear. Can you girls please give me some ideas. I posted this a little in advance, because I need to decide what to wear since I'll leave on the 28th to AZ.

Here's a little bit of information about the Compass Restaurant.

The Compass Restaurant is the only rooftop-revolving restaurant in all of Arizona. They offer breathtaking views, mouthwatering food and impeccable service. Celebrate each and every holiday with the Compass Restaurant

Dining Style: Casual Elegant
Just in Case here's a pic of the Compass.

I've been there several times. The first time was for Prom (many years ago!). I love the Compass!

I'd say wear whatever you please - it's your b-day, and just because the code is business casual doesn't mean you can outdress anyone else in the place. *s*

Happy early birthday, BTW!

Thanks for the info, altgirl.

But I still do not know what to wear. I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions from any of you girls. TIA.

What's your favorite feel-good outfit? Pants and a sexy top / cami? It won't be *too* cold in AZ - even in December, a lot of people go around in shorts - so you could get away with a tank & sweater if you get cold. Or a pretty dress and heels? What do you want to wear on your birthday?

You could take some ideas from the recent "shopping game" thread that NCshopper started. There are some gorgeous outfits there!

I don't have a favorite feel-good outfit. Most of the time when I go out to eat I usually wear a  skirt with a nice top and heels. I hardly wear dresses though. I don't have anything aganist them. The dresses I do have are very formal.

So I think I'd would like to wear a skirt or trousers. I'm leaning more to trousers though. I only have one pair of trousers in black, but I can always go buy more.

your best bets are pants and a cami/fancy flowy top. i could be completely wrong, but im thinking that dinner at that place would be slightly fancier than business casual. business casual, to me, says secretaries with business suits from marshalls. besides...it's your darn birthday, live it up a little!

i would go with pants though. personally, i never feel comfortable enough in skirts cause i don't like my legs. i can be my sexy shiny self in pants cause im not worrying about anything.

hope that help!

I think that would be fine for that restaurant. I haven't seen it IRL. My only concern is the bottom of the blouse looks completely see-through, but the bustline doesn't really allow for a cami underneath.
