the ya ya coat was $650, now $394 - fabric content: Shell: 57% Wool / 26% Nylon / 17% Silk; Lining: 50% Acetate / 50% Nylon


the prada bag was $795, now $405

That coat is gorgeous - you have to get it!  If you can afford it, get both because the purse is beautiful too.  If you can only get one - get the coat.

The coat! Without even seeing it on you, I'm betting it will totally suit you. I am not overly fond of the bag but I think the coat really shows your signature style and you will wear it for years. If you can get both, then by all means, do so, but I think you could find a bag you like better, maybe...

i posted this coat off shopbop a while back- good to see its on bluefly. i think you should get the coat and post a review too. the bag- that color suede is really dangerous- it never stays clean, and you just posted a chain furla bag you have in green! so i say coat only.

The bag is okay, but the coat is absolutely to-die-for... if you can afford both, get them both, but if you can only get one, def. make it the coat- there's something really special and different about the coat, whereas the bag, while nice, doesn't scream anything phenomenally special to me!

OMG, that coat is to die for!  I remember seeing it on Shopbop and falling in love with it.  I think it suits your style plus you have the perfect frame for it.  GET IT!!!  I would get it myself but I think it looks better on a tall, slender figure...while I'm rather petite..so the coat would probably overwhelm me.

thanks for the offer though, zeitgeist! (by the way - that's one of my favorite art words "of the times" one of my design profs used to use it a lot and there's also a cool gallery/play house I go to in Detroit called Zeitgeist gallery www.zeitgeistdetroit.org - they do a lot of beat generation plays - Pinter, Burroughs, Beckett - love it)
