Ok I think the main reason I'm drawn to the La Redoute Blazer is the price, $24 w/shipping, but the length sits below the waist. Does it make much of a difference?? The GAP one is perfect and is selling for $60 online, more than what I want to spend when I should be crossing things off my XMAS list.
Hard lesson Lilykind has learned from bargain shopping:
Do Not Buy Anything Because Of How Much It Is.
I have bought too many cheap things that weren't perfect and haven't gotten much use out of them. If I had never bought a bunch of these things, I could probabyl buy myself something I've always wanted and would use all the time, like a Chanel quilted. How I wish I could get my money back!
That said, ask hubby for the Gap one, especially if you've seen it IRL, tried it on and it fits you perfectly. The La Redoute blazer is a potential disaster if you are petite or short wasited, IMO.
I say get the Laredoute blazer. I think it could look really nice a little longer (and is probably different than most blazers you already have) as long as it isn't overwhelming. FWIW, I've never ordered from Laredoute, but unless I plan on wear a blazer buttoned (which is never), I size down so it fits in the shoulders/arms. If I get the size that fits my bust measurement, it's always too big/overwhelming everywhere else, and my chest isn't even that big!
Hopefully the girls who have ordered from Laredoute before will be able to help you on sizing.
If you get the Laredoute blazer and it doesn't fit or you don't like it, I'd send it back and stalk the Gap one until you get a coupon code and/or it goes on sale.
