Maybe it's because I don't know how to bake but these brownies turned out horrible. I hate to stab them out of the baking pan because they were rock solid. I followed the directions to a T. The chocolate flavor was too rich for me as well. I dunno-I'd rather eat more calories and have something chewy and good.

I made some delicious bran brownies once (I'll have to look for the recipe) and they turned out yummy. They were only 1 WW point each and I ate like 8 of them because of the low point thing. That's a baaaaddd idea though. I had, needless to say, a bit more fiber than I was used to and all its effects.


If you want the recipe, I'll try and find it at home somewhere or ask my mom.

I'm sorry they didn't turn out well for you Jen.  I have played with the mix a few times.  They worked best when I used the applesauce and cooked them less than the box suggested.  The first time I made them the outer ones did turn rock solid which was disappointing.
