need help finding a coat

I've been looking for an ivory or winter white coat FOREVER and I'm running out of time because I'm going to the chilly east for a week right around Christmas. I know I can just buy a cheap coat somewhere, but I'd rather invest in one I'll have for a long time.


I'm looking for a wool or wool blend button up or waist tie coat - I like the style of the J. Crew coats, but they seem a little too long. I'm pretty short (5'2") so I was hoping to find one that hits right below the hip. Has anyone seen any coats fitting this description online or in stores? (I feel like I'm posting a missing persons ad!) LOL
