was "do you have kids?"


"are you planning on having kids?"


I hate people--dumb ass men especially.


and the interview went so well with the first two people....the VP and the Director and then the third person asked these dumb questions. That is the first time I have ever been asked that. I felt like saying, "consult your HR manual dipstick." but instead I said "no"

Good heavens.  Why would someone ask that?  I mean, do they really think they'd get an honest answer?

it is totally illegal to ask both of those questions (pretty much any question about marital or family status are illegal).  most likely, the guy didn't know it was illegal to ask those questions.  but if you feel he knew it was wrong but asked it anyways, you may want to tell the company's HR people about that.

i totally understand.  this is one of things that just sucks, but there really isn't anything you can do about it.


good luck!  i hope you get the job, end up supervising that guy, and assign him terribly meaningless tasks!
