I'm trying to give all of my aunts and uncles on my mom's side of the family inexpensive but sort of thoughtful gifts. I got a bunch of fleece throws from Ikea ($2.99!!!) last weekend, and I'm going to stitch/embroider/iron-on (haven't decided yet) monograms on them for a personal touch. I was thinking of packaging them in a box with a canister with hot cocoa mix and marshmallows (looks cuter than it sounds) with a cute little quote about snuggling up by a fire when the snow is falling while drinking hot cocoa, and I know there's one in my mind, but it won't come out. I've tried googling it with no luck. I'd hate to just put a blanket in a box and call it a day, you know?
Can anyone help me find a quote, a phrase from a book, a line from a song, or anything that I can use for this? It doesn't have to be about a fire or hot cocoa or anything... just something about being all nice and cozy inside. Pleeeease
Why don't you try looking up lyrics to popular Christmas songs. I bet a bunch of them would have a good quote you could use. Some songs that come to mind are:
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Baby it's cold outside
or maybe just say "Wishing you warmth this holiday season" or "Warm wishes to you this holiday season"?
There is probably a smell of roasted chestnuts and other good comfortable things all the time, for we are telling Winter Stories - Ghost Stories, or more shame for us - round the Christmas fire; and we have never stirred, except to draw a little nearer to it.
maybe you could send it with chestnuts instead of cocoa?
