Ok, I've been trying to snack on more fruit, including out of the can. I'm talking about the kinds that have the sweet syrpu to go along with it...anyhow, I cannot identify one of the fruits. It's deep orange and sweet. I thought it was either mango or papaya, so I bought one of each, and both were yellow! I must be crazy, but what is this fruit?
i LOVE canned fruit - so yummy! but FYI, eating the kind with the syrup is akin to eating candy - there's just so much sugar in there! don't eat that if you're trying to get the healthy benefits of fruit!
but DO eat it if you're just trying to get some yummy deliciousness!
And yeah, Hermione's right. Eating canned fruit is not the same as eating whole fruit--you're getting a ton of extra sugar (and thus calories) and you're missing out on the fiber.
