I have a burning question about how you wear your snow boots to and at work. Do you take them off and change shoes or wear them all day long?
Today it was all slushy and wet, so I had to pick my way through puddles to keep the bottoms of my jeans dry (casual Friday). Then I saw this stylish girl go by with her jeans tucked into boots like these:
Her jeans were snug and dry. So I wondered if I tucked my jeans in (which I love) would it be appropriate to wear them tucked all day in a business casual office? Do you still change into your "regular" shoes? Thoughts?
I wear mine for my commute only and when i get to work, I change into regular shoes. I think it would depend on your work enironment. I work in a coprorate office for a bank, so it wouldn't be approrpriate for me to wear them all day. But it's really easy to just bring shoes with me and change once I get to work. HTH!
Our dress code is dressy business casual so I change into heels once I get into work. I would think on a casual day when you can where jeans that jeans tucked into boots would still be work appropriate.
I change into regular shoes once I get to the office but I work in a law firm so even our business casual dress code is pretty conservative (no jeans, etc). Once it gets really cold and I know I'll be wearing boots every day I start leaving my shoes under my desk so I don't have to carry them back and forth.
If your office is pretty casual you should be fine keeping your boots tucked in but if you are worried you can always untuck your jeans once you arrive at work.
