I want to buy it for my parents for Christmas. I have to call comcast and ask about it but I wanted to hear personal experiences. We already have the digital cable and it's only $9.95 a month for the service with no charge for the box (TiVo is $12.95 and the cheapest box is $199.99). But how would I pay for it with out it being added to my parents monthly bill? Do you think I can pay upfront? Thanks girls.

We have it and love it.  You can record two shows at once, Tivo probably does that too (never had that service) I'm not sure about the payment options, your best bet is to call them up.  I am happy with the service though.

a girl in one of my classes got it, and loves it.  However, she wanted to switch companies and they gave it to her as an incentive to stay, along with another one for their other TV.  So,  she loves it cause of that too!

I had it when I was in WA state, and I LOVED it.  The one with Cox out here in Virginia kind of sucks compared to it.  It was very easy to use and had really great features. 


I don't know about the billing thing though.  You'd have to ask customer service.  Maybe they can add it on to your bill.  I know that you can have a different service and billing address, but I don't know if you can separate features like that.
