You guys...I can't believe what my friend has done...


I ran into my friend (we'll call her Jane) at school yesterday before a final.  Jane mentioned that she just got back from Vegas.  Some of us jokingly said "Did you get married there? Ha Ha!".  Jane stared at us like a deer in headlights...and said "Kind of."  My other friend laughed and said "Should we congratulate you and buy a wedding gift or find a lawyer to handle the annulment (sp)?" Jane said "Well, we have a few issues to work out before we go public...he goes to school with us."  She refused to tell us who he was.


We were completely baffled.  She's the kind of gal that has been with a guy or two since we've started school.  So, all of us have been racking our brains trying to figure this out.  Well today, another friend told me who it was.  It was a guy who has been married for a couple of years!  He apparently told his wife on the friday he left for Vegas that he would not be returning.  HE MARRIED MY FRIEND IN VEGAS!!!  He is married to TWO women at this very moment!  I guess technically the second one doesn't count since it was illegal, but OH MY GOD!


What the hell am I supposed to say to her?  I cannot be supportive of this.  He is a big, fat, A-HOLE.  His poor wife probably has no clue what is going on!

Wow... are you good friends with this chick?  Does she usually act so crazy?  I'd probably just say, "Whoa, good luck with that," and just listen (as non-judgementally as you are able) if she ever needs to spill her guts about it.

Holy crap!!!  That's insane!  That sucks that it's right around the holiday--poor Wife #1!  I wonder if your friend has been having an affair with this guy all along or if this was just totally spur of the moment.  Weird.

Wow. I feel sorry for wife #1. What was your friend thinking? It also makes me wonder if they'd been having an affair for awhile.
