weird situation... need advice.

okay, i have an aquaitence that needed a job about a year ago.  she's not my friend, because i think she a bit of a stinker ( caught her in white lies and silly little stuff )  she's not a bad person, just a bit selfish and inconsiderate of others.  and her work ethic is in the toilet.  we send each other random emails, and have talked on the phone a few times.

but anyways, butthead needed a paralegal and this girl needed a job.  i told butthead about her, but i told him why i wouldn't hire her and that i thought it may be a bad idea to hire her period.  but just to let him know that she was available.

the girl has been working for butthead now for about a year, and she has been continuously doing stupid things.  showing up to work late, taking 2.5 hour lunches, leaving early, rescheduling clients to fit her schedule.  she's getting married, so she takes lots of time off to plan and travel to her hometown where the wedding will be held.

butthead is rarely in his office because he is in court all the time so he needs a reliable person.

well yesterday, she lied big time and butthead caught her and fired her.

2 more random tidbits that may factor into things are:

this girl does not need or want a job

and butthead has already hired another person.

now, do i need to say something to her?  like send her an email or something saying that i hope there are no hard feelings between me and her?  or just forget it?

I say forget it.  You had nothing to do with it and it was her own damn fault for doing stupid things to begin with.  If you two were better friends, maybe I'd contact her.  But given the nature of the relationship, feel free to wash your hands of her and be done.

Just forget it.  It's not your responsibility and it's her fault for getting fired.  You don't even consider her to be a friend, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I'd forget it too, doesn't seem like she really wants a job anyways. Maybe getting fired gave her an excuse to goof off.

I love how you call him butthead. LOL

I wouldn't touch that one.
