if you really dont know what you want then i would just let him surprise you and you can help him by telling him what you really dont want. He dosen't have to buy you a ring, it can be a necklace, bracelet, earrings that he picks out for example.

Yeah I have the same situation, I didn't know what I wanted either, but then I started to think about stuff that I would buy myself. Like a new watch face (mine has a little crack), also i wanted a really nice knife to chop veggies.

So just think of things that you won't buy yourself.

Since you will be working for D&T next year and your laptop will become attached to you like a third arm how about a nice/fun laptop bag (yes they will give you one but do you really want the standard black case with D&T on it?? Mine is Huge and I put so much junk in it I tripped and fell!). I got a fabo pink polka dot one from Target in Oct. Just a thought.

Or a yearly planner. I live and die by both of mine. I have a nice kate spade one which i use for appointments & events. and then a cheapie one I got from the office for keeping track of my time for budgets and stuff (you will learn all about that!!).

Or you could do a nice handbag to use for work.

You gave me an idea for myself! Why didn't I think of this? I use mine everyday and will of course need a new one in January!

If you have one of those fancy car wash places, you can also ask for tokens/gift certificate. My car has not been washed since October. It's so dirty and I have never waxed it.

What about a spa day? That is something I will never do for myself, but getting a massage or facial is a real treat!
