Another uggs/snow boots question
Permalink Closed

So we got our first big snow today and I am totally ill-prepared. I need some comfy boots that will hold up in the snow. For those of you who have uggs, do you wear them in the snow? Do they keep your feet dry? I know they make the special spray- does that keep them from getting yucky and dirty looking? Also, how is their traction on slippery or icy surfaces? I really need something practical (I walk 40 min. each day), but I want them to be cute enough that I can wear them all day with my jeans and sweaters (and not miniskirts ). If annybody has other suggestions, that's great too! TIA, ladies!

What do you girls think of these?

I wear mine in the snow (and in the rain) and my feet stay nice and dry. I never used any protective spray because I bought them for a purpose (the snow) and I didn't need to keep them looking great; I don't mind if they get dirt and salt stains. I've found the traction to be very good. I wore my Classics to school in the snow today and the parking lot was pretty icy (they hadn't sanded yet). I saw three different people slip across a patch of ice, and when I walked over the same spot, I didn't slip (and I tried, because I'm an 8-year old boy on the inside and I enjoy splashing in puddles and sliding over ice ).

That was the deal with my Classic Tall Uggs... I have the Uptowns now, too but haven't worn them in the winter-y weather, so I don't have a review on them yet. I still need to get protective spray (I do care about these ones) so I'm trying not to wear them too much. Although I can say that the lining isn't as thick, so I'm not sure that they'll keep my feet as dry and toasty as my old stand-bys.

Hope that helps a little.

I have a pair of tall suede snow boots similar to Uggs and I sprayed them with the waterproofing protective spray that Aerosoles sells - it has worked really well so far!
