Ok now that I have chosen my dress I feel that I need to change things a little bit for the wedding decor and more. I am about to pick up my STD and I will talk to my invitation designer about my programs, place cards, table numbers and invites. Any ideas of something that can help tie this all together cutely? TIA!

What a beautiful dress!  Since it took you so much effort to find it, I think it's a great idea to use it as a "theme" for the day (in your invitations, decor, etc.).

A couple things come to mind when I see your dress:

  • eyelet pattern (I know... duh)
  • bow (double duh)

You could take any one of these things and run with it.  Here's some stuff I thought of:

  • invitations, programs, etc. printed on eyelet patterned paper (or paper that has an eyelet border); eyelet runners on the gift table (or others) at the reception
  • bows (ones that mimic the one on your dress, especially in a ribbon that has that pretty green color in it) tied to the invites, programs, etc.; bows incorporated in the table centerpieces

Hmm... maybe I think of more later, but that's a start anyway.

I've seen bakers replicate intricate lace from a wedding dress on a cake - methinks an eyelet pattern wouldn't be too terribly difficult?

I know Smash isn't around here too often anymore, but you might PM or email her and see what she thinks.  I know she does invitations and might have some ideas on how to tie everything together.

When I look at your dress I think whimsical and girl with soft music and tea lights.  I picture a cake with fresh flowers one it.  You could carry the flower theme over to the invitations as well.  The flower that keeps coming to my mind when I look at your dress is the Gardenia.

Something else you could do is have your cake or your invitations trimmed in ribbon in the color that matches the bow on your dress.

These are just a few thoughts that came to mind when I saw your dress, which is now, my dream dress!! Now I just need the prince....
