I have been all over the internet looking for a chocolate  brown wood console/sofa table to go behind our sofa in our  living room.

it can be MAX 30" high and i'd really really love to not have to assemble it.

OH, most impt: i have to have at least 1-2 drawers. they can be smallish, but i gotta have a place for my husband's piles 'o ppr he collects (to me it's mail to go thru, but to him.....whatever).

our style is more modern, really nothing traditional. nothing funky-crazy,  but just clean lines and nothing umm, like, for example we have these bookcases from crate and barrel:

Don't know exactly which shade of brown you mean by chocolate brown and your budget but here is one 30" high from Pottery Barn.

 $699

Or if you can't find one you like with drawers, you can always get something like this and get cool boxes instead of a basket to stash the papers.

 $349

Crate & Barrel $499

We have this.  Not the best quality, but we know our kids will beat the crap out of it:

Dolce Dark Walnut 3-Drawer Console Table

This is pretty cool and modern:  Pablo Console Table - Espresso and also comes in a lighter color

Have you looked on overstock.com?  They get in some great furniture that is of better quality.

We (I) finally decided and ordered this one and the mathcing end table:

Pablo Console Table - Espresso

I have the matching vanity in our bedorom and I LOVE it. The manufacturer, Quebeko, has the best customer service. We hired someone to assemble the tables (to avoid a divorce...that way it's the assumbler's fault and not his or mine which it would be for sure) so our living room will be almost done!

Thanks for your help. I'll send pix once it's all done.
