I always seem to have a terrible time finding dresses so when bluefly did their 20% off all dresses last week, I ordered a bunch of them, hoping to just one that worked for a wedding I need to go to in about a month.  This was my fav out of all of them (and me modeling it!).

Do you think it works for a afternoon winter wedding?  I'm not sure if its too dressy due to the gold embroidery.  If it is appropriate, any ideas for a wrap of some sort of cover up?  I'm thinking maybe a bright pink?  And shoes?  I don't really like the shoes I'm wearing in the pic with it (gold strappy sandals).  I'd definitely need something closed toed.

I would say go with a fitted black cardi or a black pashmina.  Since you're already worried that it might be a little too dressy, I'd avoid dressing it up further with a  bright wrap.


Some black peep toes would look cute, as would black pointy slingbacks IMO.

Thanks for the response LMonet....do you think black would look good with the dress (I'm not sure you can tell from the pic but its actually a dark brown).  Maybe I chocolate brown wrap of same color shoes?

Whoops, yes I (and my apparently inaccurate monitor) assumed it was black.  Definitely go for brown wrap/cardi and shoes.

I really like the dress and I think it suits you. I don't think I would wear brown though. Cause if it matches exactly, that's weird, and if it's a little off that's weird too. Some ideas...
