This morning, while making my way from a parking structure, I noticed this
little old man teetering along in the rain with his umbrella, walking towards the entrance of a retirement home. In one hand, his umbrella,
and in the other; several long stemmed roses wrapped in cellophane, streamers of ribbons trailing from them. It was the cutest, sweetest thing
--very moving. Love still matters to that man, near the twilight of his life. Romance and the grace between two hearts--that all is still of value to him, and there he was, walking along in the rain with flowers for his adored one. That deeply, deeply moved me. He can't bend on one knee as fluidly as he once could, his handsome face has become creased with the ashes of the years,
and his lovelorn stride has become drastically slowed
---and yet, love still remains. Still the capacity, the air, to love remains-------
That was just some cool stuff to me-----something to observe from the distance.
I'm often amazed by the weight of the lifetime of gifts which perfect strangers grant to me, totally unaware of what they've given me.......... I suppose that
"the kindness of strangers" means something entirely different to me.
I just waned to share this with you ladies.

Older couples are so sweet. I love it when I see them holding hands walking or the old man still opening the car door for his lady!
Do you think it is because they are getting older and appericate each other more and that is why they are acting this way or do you think it is something they have always done. (ex: flowers, opening car doors etc...)
