So I recently bought a few pairs of gold heals.  But now I'm wondering if they will be/are out.  Not that I am all in/out trend crazy but I don't want to look like a fashion victum either.

I think metallics (especially for evening0 are timeless.  They're neutrals with a kick.  I don't think they'll ever be out.  I just don't think they'll be as prevalent as they have been for the past few seasons. But who cares? If you like 'em, wear 'em!

I agree with Nyla. I have been wearing metallic shoes for years, and will continue to do so, no matter who's "out" list they may be on. I don't pay much attention to what's in or out anyway. Wear what you like to wear. *s*

I love metallic shoes.  They are an easy way to give an outfit a little kick, trends be damned.

I think they're on their way out, but maybe that's just me. I don't think we'll be seeing much metallic in the next few years. I mean metallic bags are already pretty much obsolete.

metallics have always been in fashion, just not all the rage....so okay, if they were to go out of style...what would be "in" to replace them in dressy situations?  black can't be "in" because it's always appropriate to wear black, just not as original.


so, I kind of think it's not that metallics are so in alone, maybe it's just that people were getting bored with black?
