Small tiny presents for my advent calendar!

I bought this really awesome Jonathan Adler advent calendar from Hold Everything over the summer.. and now it's time to fill it!

Does any one have any suggestions (other than chocolates) to put into the calendar? I want small cheap-y things. The little boxes aren't that big. Probably 2" tall and 1 inch deep. The object itself couldn't be more than 1.5" wide! I would like to spend as little as possible (since I have to get 13 pieces!.. my bf and I are splitting the calendar). I am going to do some candy/chocolates but would like to have some gifts non-edible!

TIA TIA TIA! I am really stumped on this one!

i'm doing an advent calendar for the first time this year. i'm going out today to find little things, so i'll let you know what i get.

i'm looking for ideas too, since i've never done one before.

i had a couple of ideas but wanted to see what others thought of.


  • usb drive
  • digicam memory
  • things from the supermarket vending machine like Homiez
  • dental floss

You could get gift certificates in small denominations for things like itunes, Amazon, etc. and then roll them up. I was thinking that a memory card for a digi cam or w/e would be a cute idea but you've already thought of that. I think you can probably come up with enough to fill 13 spaces. A memory card, a few gift certificates can be the bigger gifts and then add some figurines from vending machines, candy, whatever mini personal care products you can find.

I think you could get a couple of decorations for the Christmas tree that would be small enough. These might fit...


Kimono Squirrel Ornament 2 1/2"l, 1 3/4"w, 2 1/2"d (but they're squishy)


There's more than squirrels at the Urban B&M stores.

I'm going to place little notes in mine.  Reminders of what the holiday season is all about, things to do with my girls, etc.  Maybe a few little presents for them, but I don't have the time to shop for the stuff right now.
