Taking off from the "Where do you buy your bras from poll". Thought it would be interesting to see where people got their panties?

For me VS and Gap.
Would like to find others less expensive places, that have good bikinis.

Also thought I'd ask for those of us who are still Bikini wearers and not thong, all the time, what their favourites brands are.

Hope this is not too weird a question!

For basic cotton undies I prefer V.S. For thongs, Hanky Panky's "4811" and "4911" hands down.

GOOD ONE! I really prefer VS or Freddies, but I'll occassionaly buy some (panties/thongs) from Wal-Mart, but they still don't compare to VS!

Well, I'm at a panty impass. I need them lower so that they don't stick out of the top of my jeans, but I need something that will cover / hold in my belly. So i have no clue. I do very hit or miss - just pick them up usually from the sale bin at the VS sales, but I don't have any that I truly love. And I HATE thongs - I just refuse to wear them. Now, how is that for TMI?

I get Benetton thongs every year from my aunt when I go to Italy (it's her "signature gift")

I have been fond of Calvin Klein for basic underwear, and I own a lot of stuff from VS too. Also AE for when I wan more full coverage options. I like the underwear that looks like boys' undies.


I like my Cosabella thongs and VS Pink cotton thongs as well. I want to try Hanky Panky (may be with that Shopbop code...hehehe)

I'm a boyshorts kind of girl, so I love AE's...If I'm wearing a thong, it's because the outfit needed it (no VPL, ever) and then I just kind of buy whatever's cute and cotton from Target; It works

I only wear bikinis from Mervyn's , I think the brand is called Partners Intimates.  They are perfection!


I find that VS has a bit too much fabric going on in the butt-ish area.  I don't need my kidneys to be covered, thankyouverymuch !

I bought some great maindenform panties the other day.  I love them!  They are the "One Fab Fit Hipster" panties.  They're microfiber and oh so comfortable and don't show VPL.

another vote for ae boy shorts- they are so cute and great quality!  i also like to buy boy shorts from gap body and urban outfitters.  gosh, what did i do before boyshorts??  they are by far the most comfortable underwear EVER!


for "fancy underwear," you can't beat hanky panky!  comfortable for thongs and they have great colors.

For those that said they love hanky panky.... What styles and do you like, and how does the sizing run?  Are they about the same sizing as VS?  I really want to try them out, but don't know what the best style would be to get, and colors?

Here I am in my favorites:


Hanes® Body Creations™ Microfiber Bikini – Wardrobe


Ha, I wish.  But yeah, these are Hanes microfiber bikinis.  I hate VS panties, they dig in to my skin and bunch up.  I tried Body by Victoria, but they still bunched up.


I love these, they are all I wear.  And with most clothes there is no VPL.  If there is, I wear SPANX.  No thongs.  Ever.

I ONLY will buy New York and Company bikinis.  They are the most comfortable I have found and they are always cute colors and patterns and great prices.  Whenever I buy any others they sit in my drawer and I will even do laundry to clean my NY and co ones before I will wear the others!  For thongs I usually buy whatever is cute and on sale at Kohls.  The hubby takes care of the VS stuff which I call "not for under my clothes underware"    Those get a special drawer.
