Officially obsessed with these Diesel shoes - UPDATE
Permalink Closed

I really really like these Diesel shoes but decided to wait until they either went on sale or I got an awesome discount code or I decided that I loved them enough to pay $120. Now they are $80! But I'm still not sure if I should get them

First of all the color looks totally different on different sites so I'm not sure what it will really look like. It's called "natural" on both sites so I'm assuming the second photo from Village Shoes is more accurate.

Secondly, I'm confused because Diesel shoes come in both full and half sizes yet Urban claims to only have full sizes. Is this just a weird thing that they do - only stock full sizes of certain items? I feel like I've noticed this before. I have one pair of Diesel shoes in a 6.5 which is my normal size and they fit well but they are also pointy so maybe I'd be better off with the 6 in these?

And finally, last night Urban was out of stock in 6 (they seem to be back in stock today) so I went to a bunch of other sites to try to find them and found this color which I now love more than the natural color but of course Nordstrom is out of stock in this color and I can't find it on other sites.

It also looks like Nordstrom might have the same color as Urban left in 6.5 - they call it "tan" but it looks the same as what Village shoes calls "natural" which is what Urban calls that color that looks pinkish!

They are still $120 at Nordstroms. Do you think they would price match the $80 sale price at Urban?

Please help me sort out my very conflicting feelings about these shoes! I think there's a chance that if I really want the burgundy ones I could find them at a store in the city or keep calling around to places but I bet I would have to pay full price and it could be time consuming. And I did like the Urban color to begin with so it's not like I am really compromising. What do you guys think?

i think that now i want these shoes, too.  thanks.

i like the burgandy best, but i like the tan/natural ones too, assuming they're the second color and not the pinky one.

i think you should order the tan in a 6 from urban while they're in stock, and then if they don't fit order the 6.5 from nordies.  in the meantime, try to find someplace that has the burgandy so that if you don't love the tan ones when you get them, and you know if the 6 fits or if you need a 6.5, you can call and order them ASAP (just in case!).

also, if you do find the burgandy ones anywhere, please let me know.

Oooh I really like those! Not to make your decision harder, but I love the burgundy. I would try to call around a little bit. If nothing comes up, go with the natural ones cause they're cool too. I also think Nordstroms would price match.

OK I just ordered the Urban ones in a 6. I hope they are really in stock. It makes me nervous that they were out of stock last night and magically in stock this morning. I'll keep my fingers crossed. As a backup maybe I'll try to call Nordstrom later and ask if they'll match Urban's sale price. I also live near a Diesel store so I can look there tomorrow....oh and I just remembered that there is a Disel store right near the restaurant I am going to tonight so I'll try there as well. If I find the burgundy I'll let you guys know.

Also I'm so glad someone else likes them, all my friends thought they were gross.

I can't believe your friends said they were gross! You know where to go! We'll like them. I love those burgundy ones - i'm anxious to see what color the Urban ones end up being. Such a mystery!

if the urban one's are sold out, shoemania (or is it david z., the one that's near banana republic) on 34th has them. i meant to check after work, but forget. i'll try and remember tomorrow and let you know what colors they have, but i do think they have burgundy. oh, and those are stupid cute, i've been eyeing them too.

ok I went to the Diesel on Union Square after work and they only have the tan. The Nordstrom pic is the most accurate. They are a light tan leather that is sort of slightly tinted light blue, if that makes any sense - like maybe the underlayer is light blue and the top color is tan - and the detailing on the heel is light blue. They are definitely really cute and maybe they would be good because they would work for more seasons than the burgundy.

The other thing which is making me crazy is that they also come in boots. At first I was like 'the boots are more expensive and boots never fit my legs anyway so I'd only be able to wear them under pants.' However, after going to Diesel I walked to David Z where they only had the boots but they had burgundy and they are gorgeous. They have more of a matte almost suede finish rather than the tan which almost have a slightly coated/shiny appearance. OK I know my descriptions are terrible. But basically, the tan are super cute and the burgundy/purpleish ones are awesome.

As it stands now I have ordered the tan in a 6 from Urban and so far they still claim to have it in stock so I'm crossing my fingers. But I'm now so so tempted by the burgundy boots since it might be impossible to get the shoe version, but they are also $170 which would be $50 more than I originally refused to pay for these silly shoes!

honey did the place on 34th have the shoe version? i can try to go tomorrow on my lunch hour to check.

Oh and the other bad news? I'm now also obsessed with these

No advice, those are all worthy obsessions. Those would be amazing as boots, especially in the burgundy. And I love the t-straps.

I just got my Urban order and the shoes are cute and the size 6 fits but the color is odd. It is a really pale peach - the natural/tan that other sites have and that I saw in the Diesel store must be different. At first I thought they would be cute and would work in the spring as well but the color is just too strange and is really close to my skin tone so I'm totally bummed and I'm going to send them back. I guess I'll try to track down the burgundy in either the wedge or the boots and just suck it up and pay full price.

BTW if anyone wants this color - they are really cute but the color is just not right for me - they are now on sale for $60 in sizes 8-10.
