Thinking about canceling my Handmaid order ...
Permalink Closed

They haven't processed it yet (still! I ordered on Friday) and I'm starting to feel really guilty about spending so much on one item.  I feel like I'll have to go on a shopping ban for 2 months just to justify it!  I'm also a little leery about the quality of the leather ...

What to do?  Get it and not buy anything else for 2 months?  Cancel and use the money for other items I need?

My first question is, how many weeks/months have you liked it? I know there have been lots of posts about this bag, so I can't remember who liked it when. If you've liked it for quite a while now, I would say get it.

From the pictures that Texasgal posted, it looks really big. Do you really want to lug that bag around all the time?

I recommend going through with the order and waiting to see the bag IRL, hold it in your hands, see and feel the leather, etc, before deciding to return it. You'll only be out maybe $5 to ship it back, and at least then you'll know you made the right choice. Besides, if you change your mind later and want to get it after all, you'll have missed out on the 35% off (unless they do a promo code again - who knows....)

Btw, I saw the Tano Analisa IRL over the weekend - let me know if you have any questions about that one.

Tell me everything you know, woman!  Softness of leather?  Size?  Color?

lol.....so the leather was really soft and pliable, not stiff in the least. I saw it in the dark brown color, that's the only shade they had. The color had soft variations, with lighter marks on it, that made it look broken-in. I tried it on, and it was a big bag, but not so big that it overwhelmed me (I'm small and 5'4"). It was a really nice bag, but I was simultaneously obsessed with the Brueckner saddle bag on the shelf right next to it.

ETA: Also, the leather was pretty shiny.
