OK, for anyone who wanted to order one of these, here are the silk fabrics that I have--the one on the right is a very nice shiny plain black (hard to see in photo).  the hot pink is so cute--it's very bright and the dots are a tone-on-tone in the fabric, which is sort of hard to see in the photo. 



I am going to charge some people at work $40, but I will charge you guys $35 (including the shipping to send them to you).  Just PM me if you would like one, and I'll give you the info to Paypal me and I'll try to get them out to you as soon as I can.  Thanks!

thanks, carmen! i love it when something turns out as well as you hoped it would. anyone could do it, though--it was pretty simple to just follow what the other one looked like and how it was constructed.

thanks so much, ladies!  i have another piece of silk, and i think the directions will go easier if i take pictures step-by-step as i go along.  so when i get time this week to do the other one, i'll geek out for you and take digi-photos as i go and do the directions with it.  stay tuned...

they're having a "craft fair" at my office on 12/2--i briefly considered making a bunch of them for that, but i don't know if i can be bothered to hang out in the conference room all afternoon and sell my wares.  what do you think?

well, it may be fun.  if thie issue in your coworkers or getting behind on work, can you give them to someone else to sell so you don't have to hang out in the conference room?  but if the issue is making the headbands, i say screw it.  but make them for your friends at ST.

no, it's not the work thing, i'm just kind of shy in general and think that i might feel stupid and self-conscious.  maybe i will get over it.  if you guys really do want to order one, i'd be happy to make them for the girls here--PM me with the colors you like and stuff, and i'll try to figure it all out.
