Yikes! I agree w/ Kelly on Nina. I think these middle-of-the-road events are difficult to dress for. It's not laid-back/anything goes MTV Video Music Awards, and it's not all-out-glamour Oscars.

I just feel the need to add:  If you are anyone other than Lady Gaga or some other internationally-known megastar, you are not allowed to wear a sheer dress w/ no bra to one of these things (talking to you, Dermot Mulroney's wife).

I agree that Busy Philips looked good. My brother & SIL went to a Cougar Town promotional party last week and met her. They said she is extremely friendly and easy to talk to. I guess she really worked the room and spent a good amount of time chatting with everyone. It's always nice to hear a good story about a celebrity that you like as opposed to ones that make them look like a spoiled entitled brat.

And Kelly Osbourn's hair is just all around bad. It looks like she was trying to go for a dishwater blonde color but it just washes her out terribly. And from the look on her face, I think she knows it. I did like the skirt.

I don't agree that these mid-level award shows are that hard to dress for. A flattering cocktail dress would be 100% improvement on some of those outfits. I think some of their stylists & PR people have them dress in less than flattering outfits just to get their photos in the magazines and on-line. The more outrageous the outfit, the more press the actress gets.
