How often do you rotate your bags? Do you change your bag every day to match your outfit? Do you use one for a few weeks then switch?
Usually when I get a new one I use it for a while until I get tired of it, but I will change bags if the new one clashes with my outfit. When I don't have any new ones, I am very sporadic. Sometimes I'll switch every day, sometimes I'll get lazy and go a couple weeks with one bag.
Also, how many of yours are random brand versus designer/well-known labels? I have one LV (my biggest splurge EVER), and a Cole Haan I got at TJ Maxx for cheap. I have a leather faux-Balenciaga, and a Jones New York bag. Other than that, they are just random bags.

i am the same as you. i wish i were one of those organized people who change their bag each day to match their outfit, but i am far too lazy. i just switch it whenever i am forced to because it clashes with what i picked to wear that day, or it starts to look out-of-season. so it depends on that, but on average maybe once every three weeks or so. i will switch to a small evening bag if i am going out, though.
I usually get a new bag because I'm tired of what I've got, and since they're all cheapies it doesn't exactly make me want to go dig them out of the closet . Hopefully I'll be gettinga nicer one soon.

I switch pretty often. Usually a few times a week. I even sometimes just alternate between my two black leather bags. I have a lot of bags though and I like to get use out of them plus I like to give my heavily used bags a break so they'll last longer.
Most of my bags are random brands. I have a MJ bag, a Stella McCartney eveningish bag, a few by smaller designers, a bunch of Barneys brand and then lots of cheaper stuff like Diesel, Gap, Banana etc.
My only bag that cost more than $30 was a gift & it wasn't even much more... LAMB small purse. I change bags to match my outfits though, I have a brown XOXO purse, caramel Rampage, b&w LAMB, cream Zara, white Aldo and those have been doing the job pretty well. I would like to get a small "going out" white purse (I wear a lot of white & bright colors) and also an all black purse for going out as well.
I'll wear the SAME BAG for months at a time, till it starts to fall apart, then it'll be time for a new one; I may change out bags when I go out w/Joe or my girlfriends, but for the most part, I feel like if I switch bags daily, I'll forget something IMPORTANT, so...... LOL

I switch between bags depending on my outfit. I can be running twenty minutes late but I will not walk out the door if my purse doesn't match my outfit at least somewhat.
The ones that get the most rotation.
Monogram LV Speedy 25 (I'll probably carry this until I'm dead)
Black leather Moschino shoulder bag w/heart buckle closure (I'll have this for at least 5 years or so, and then I'll get something like a Chanel quilted in Caviar leather or a Celine Boogie to replace it)
Black canvas/leather trim satchel (IM for Target...I should've bought at least two or three of these...best $16.99 I've ever spent!)
Ivory leather slouchy hobo (t-bags...it's a lot like the Tano bags all the girls here love)
Almost everyday- I have 50+ vintage handbags that I'm in love with!
I have a little black leather bag that I put my wallet, chapstick, and keys in. Then I just transfer this from one bag to another. Keeps all the main things together in one spot.
How often I switch my bag depends... I wear one until I get sick of it or find one I like more. I don't usually change to match an outfit (unless it totally clashes). My most expensive bag is my Tano, which I'm using right now. I have about 12 or 13 other bags, most coming from Urban or GAP. I can't seem to take the leap into the designer bag world quite yet.
I switch my bag to match my outfits, so it's pretty frequently. I have 9 coach purses, 1 small pink bag from Express, a beaded clutch for formal occasions, a black small formal purse, a larger pink crocodile bag from the Limited, a small black guess purse...and a few other random bags.
I have so many its almost a sickness!!! I usually change everyday, and I usually have smaller size purses thruout the week. I use my bigger ones on weekends to carry all mine and my sons stuff,or when I'm traveling somewhere to do hair.
I have NO idea how many bags I have-I constantly buy more. Clutches are my absolute obsession. I havnt ventured into designer bag territory yet,but I want a Chanel someday!

At school, I don't carry a separate hand bag, so I just throw my wallet, keys, etc. into my messenger bag with my books. If I go somewhere else, though, I'll change everything into a handbag, so I usually end up carrying a different one every day.
All of my bags are cheap. (Can't get a Coach 'til I pass the bar -- that's my rule!) My "go to" bags are a big black, mock croc satchel from Anne Klein (it's great!) and a printed cotton tote from LaRedoute.
I also do a version of jlear's method: I have a "kit" that I keep with me at all times that has random crap I might need (bandaids, tissues, lip balm, a nail file, etc.). It's all packed in a little LeSportSac cosmetic bag that I bought at TJMaxx. So when I change bags, I just grap my "kit," my wallet, cell phone, and keys, and I'm ready to go! Having to only remember four things gets me out the door a lot faster.
Hmmm...okay, I don't own any 'designer' bags...I just don't have a use for them.
For the most part I just stick with one for ages and ages, so long as it suits it's purpose. If I'm out with my son I'll carry something bigger so I can fit his things in also.
