Charlotte told Juju that she should throw a charity benefit with Kiki to get her social status back. Julie was all for it until she accidentally found Charlotte's IDs/CCs (with different aliases) and figured out what was up. She confronted Charlotte, who admitted that she was a snake and had planned to take all the charity $$$ after the benefit and split town. She offers to let Juju in on the scam. Julie says no, but then Charlotte reminds her she has no money and no one to turn to, and Juju has a contemplative look on her face.
Sandy met with some BigWig and his protegee about selling the Newport Group, since Kiki doesn't want the company anymore. Sandy told BigWig and the protegee that his only requirement was that they didn't tear down a low-income housing project that had recently gone up. BigWig said no problem, but Sandy wasn't sure. Later, the protogee kid came back and told Sandy to keep the Newport Group and hire him, so they can rule Newport together (and apparently help more poor people in the process). After talking it over with Kiki, Sandy agreed.
Taylor Townsend is throwing an all-night lock-in for all the seniors. The lock-in is required, so Seth, Ryan and Summer agree to go. Taylor wrangles Ryan and Seth into helping set up. Meanwhile, in MiddleClassLand, Marissa's new bourgeois friends convince her to hang out with them at the beach, since there are apparently some gnarly waves coming in. Marissa agrees, even though she is supposed to have dinner with the Cohens later. She and Johnny end up having a long talk on the beach, where he reveals that he savagely beat his abusive father, who then left. Marissa sympathizes and they have a "moment." At that time, Johnny's girlfriend shows up and sees them together. Marissa ends up skipping the Cohens' dinner to hang with him. The next day, Summer chastises Marissa for ditching Ryan for Johnny. Marissa invites Summer to hang out at the beach with her friends before the lock-in starts, and Summer agrees. Marissa goes to Harbor, where Ryan is setting up for the lock-in, and apologizes. Ryan asks if he should be worried about Johnny, and Marissa says no. She says that Johnny understands her, and that she can talk to him about Trey, which is something she can't do with Ryan.
Marissa and Summer go to the surf party, and Summer is disturbed by Marissa and Johnny's flirting. Summer calls Ryan and tells him that he needs to come to the party. Ryan leaves for the party, and Taylor reminds him that if he's not back before the lock-in starts, he's in trouble. In the meantime, Johnny's girlfriend shows up, and so he is no longer flirting with Marissa. Johnny's gf is acting strangely, though. When Ryan arrives, he tells Summer that he isn't sure why she called him, since Johnny is clearly hanging out with his girlfriend. Summer apologizes, and they get ready to leave. Just then, Marissa sees Ryan and is a little suspicious about why he showed up, but Summer explains. Marissa and Ryan are about to leave, when Johnny discovers his girlfriend in bed with his biggest surf rival (can't remember his name, so we will call him Dude). Johnny is very depressed, and the gang tries to talk him out of going to kick Dude's ass, since Dude has a gang of equally large Dudes to back him up. Johnny goes into his room to be alone, and Johnny's gf shows up looking for him. Marissa answers the door, and she tells Marissa that she cheated on Johnny b/c he is clearly falling in love with Marissa. Marissa looks dumbfounded, though it's hard to believe she's *that* thick. Just then, Johnny's annoying friend announces that he's gone (presumably to confront Dude), and the gang rushes off to find him. They track him down on the beach, where he is confronting Dude and clearly outnumbered. They drag him away, but not before Ryan punches Dude in a decidedly Chino way (because we all know that lower-class kids are better fighters than middle-class kids). Dude looks pissed. By this time, it is definitely past the start time of the lock-in, so Summer hauls ass to school, while Ryan and Johnny go to the Peach Pit/diner place to talk.
Meanwhile, at the lock-in, where Seth has been totally ditched by his friends, Seth has overheard Taylor Townsend talking to her mom. TT's mom accuses her of forcing the seniors to attend the lock-in because she is lonely and has no one to hang out with on a Saturday. Seth feels bad for TT. The lock-in starts, and Seth is worried about Summer and Ryan missing it. He tries to get TT to sign them in anyway, but TT refuses. The seniors are gathered on the gym bleachers, clearly mad that they have to be at a school activity on a Saturday. TT tries to get them to do some lame activities, and they make fun of her & throw things. Seth jumps in and saves the day by suggesting they play capture-the-flag. TT's event is saved. She is touched, and she and Seth eat pizza together. TT promises Seth they can work something out about Ryan and Summer's attendance. Just then, Summer arrives at the gym, finding the doors locked (hence the term "lock-in"). She bangs on the door, and TT runs to open it. When she realizes that it's Summer, TT looks slyly at Seth and tells Summer she can't come in.
Denied access to the lock-in, Summer goes to the Peach Pit with Marissa, and asks Marissa about Johnny. Marissa said they're just friends, but summer says that's BS. They arrive and notice Johnny and Ryan bonding, and Marissa realizes she's got a bigger problem on her hands than she thought.

i am so glad they are keeping taylor evil. we need the next generation of bitch-tastic newpsies to follow in julie cooper's footsteps!
oh yeah, and what about the preview that shows taylor/seth? very interesting! i am sure it will be a big old misunderstanding and it will be seth being nice to her b/c he feels sorry for her and summer will get all jealous b/c she will misunderstand and think that he likes her. but still--juicy!
god I love JuJu...anyone else would have just brooded and whined and stressed out over what to do about finding Charlotte's slew of fake documents, JuJu just straight out asks her. she rocks. i'm kind of hoping she goes for the scam...this is precisely the sort of evil-duo-ness i was hoping from Julie and Caleb.
did anyone else find it incredibly creepy that Charlotte called Kirsten "Kiki"?
I think it is part of her plan to call her KIKI it is very manipulative. Why do both the couples have to go down at the same time....at least leave one intact....Seth and Summer!
