I hope I don't sound like I'm bragging...but after two years having to order online because I was in the sticks and a good 1-2 hours away from okay shopping...4 from good...I'm grateful!

Urban Outfitters and American Apparel are five blocks away from my apartment!

I have 5 good malls within 15 minutes driving range (without traffic) of my apartment. Two of those five malls are a 15 min walk away from my workplace. In that same 15 min. driving range, there are at least 6 streets chockablock with boutiques.

20 mins in any direction! 10 mins if I want to hit up the Gap Outlet, ON, etc in my own town.

I can relate to Lilykind - I'm from northern VT, where the closest (tiny, awful, picked-over) mall was 1 1/2 hours away -- MA is a dream come true!

way too close!! there are good stores everywhere in nyc- every store under the sun! i'm probably 20-30 mins by train to them? depends on where in the city- 15 mins to williamsburg in brooklyn with lots of cute boutiques.

20 minutes to the good mall (BR, Anthro, Urban, Nordstrom, and all the designer boutiques) without traffic, 7 minutes to the crappy mall by my house where the only good stores are AE and Dillards.

OK I work in the mall so I'm hop skip and a jump from stores like Macy's, L&T, Coach, Express.

If I want total snobville and shopping such as Scoop NYC, little boutiques that sell Manolo and Jimmy Choo it is a 25 minute ride to Greenwich Ave.Or hop on the train for 45 minutes to one of the shopping Meccas..............NYC

I am about a 15 minute WALK to a great mall, the Westchester. 30 minute train ride to NYC, and 30-45 minute drive to Woodbury Commons

At home in Seattle I'm about 15 min from everything.

At school in the charming town of Lewiston, ME I'm about 20 min from the Freeport outlets (which are decent), 40 min from a boutique (in Portland), and pretty much all other shopping is 3 hours away in Boston.

I'm about 20 minutes to Ridgedale Mall, Mtka MN and 45 minutes to the Mall of America. I still shop on line all the time!

5 minutes drive to Georgetown area in DC (HM,UO,Zara,etc etc..) 7 min to nearest Nordstrom.. 20 min to Tyson Corner where they just opened UO and Free people!

Boutiques are scattered all over in DC area, you just gotta know where to go, depends on location, u d have to go by car, metro, or even use ur own feet. Ha.

For what I consider good, it's about 3 hours away

The only stores that I really like (but I don't consider fabulous) are AE (in town), and F21 (45 minutes away).

I'm about 10 mins from half-way decent shopping (AE, Express, Macy's, Abercrombie

...) at my local mall. The bigger, better mall (Providence Place) is about 15 mins away. I go there if I want to go to J. Crew, Nordstrom, Banana, Coach, Forever 21, H&M, etc. Outside the mall, Urban Outfitters is a minute or two away. That's pretty much the best shopping we get around here. If I want to go to a good boutique, Sephora, Saks, or something else, I have to order online or I head to Boston... or New York

It takes about 15 minutes to BIKE to the mall, but it doesn't mean there are good stores!

The best is Toronto, 1:30 hours away and across the border. Besides, there's always a long line coming back! But it's a shopping paradise... Its the closest urban outfitters I get!

Somehow it's easier to find gourmet food and good wine than good clothes. Although.. I am beong a snob, because there are some cute boutiques downtown (15 min by car)

Here in Phoenix there's quite a bit of good shopping, but I don't live terribly close to any of it (IMO). I drive to Scottsdale when I want to do some serious shopping, but that is 30-45 minutes from my house depending on traffic. I don't get to do it very often, because I don't take my girls with me when I head out there. My 2 year-old can be completely obnoxious (a 2 year old? Obnoxious, NEVER!!!) when she's tired, and I've made the drive only to have to turn around because she went ballistic when we got there. Oh well, saves me some $$$ I guess!

Northpoint mall - about 5 mins from my house. It's got the basics: Express, Limited, AT, BR, etc. and Dillard's & Macy's.

Perimeter mall - about 15 mins away. Another Dillard's, plus NORDIES! and Bloomie's and an okay Anthro. All the chains, plus some specialty stores like Aerosoles & stuff.

Lenox / Phipps - 20-30 mins on a good day, or over an hour during traffic times (I don't go then!). Phipps has the newest Nordie's but I don't really shop there for much else. Lenox has Macy's, Bloomie's, our best Anthro, a bunch of specialty stores plus all the chains. And the Lenox Mall stores get more selection than the first two malls I listed. Like if BR has something online that says "selected stores" - that means that Lenox will get it but my other BR's, closer to home, won't. Plus it has our only UO (to my knowledge).

Can't complain...ATL has some gooooood shoppping.

i live in san francisco, so there is amazing shopping in every direction! there are some cute boutiques in my neighborhood (10 minute walk), or i'll take the bus to other neighborhoods (20-30 minutes). union square, the major SF shopping destination, is only 10 minutes away by train! nordie's, f21, anthro, urban, jcrew, ae, puma, french connection, sephora, zara, etc. basically any store you can think of- and soon there will be two h & m stores! dangerous...

I'm about 5 minutes away from a decent mall. About 10-15 minutes to a ton of cute boutiques, but I never shop there because it's too expensive. The nearest Anthro is 2.5 hours away.
