Hey, I'm a first time poster here, but I've been visiting since the beginning of the summer. I'm stalking a couple pairs of J.Crew shoes on e-bay, but I've never tried them on before, and I was wondering if they run TTS. I can wear anywhere between an 8 and 9.5, depending on how well-sized things are. In those Target ballet flats that everyone has, I bought a 9, and they are just about perfect for my feet. Can anyone help me out?
I've always found J. Crew shoes to be very TTS. I'm usually a 8.5 in US sizes and a 39 in European sizes (varies brand to brand, but, for the most part). In J. Crew, I'm an 8.5 (as a side note, I'm also an 8.5 in the Target ballet flats). I haven't experienced this, but I have heard some J. Crew shoe styles can run big or small, so something to keep in mind. Maybe if you tell us the type of shoe, if anyone has the specific shoe she can talk about that style's sizing. You could also, if there's a J. Crew near you, go in and try them on. Good luck- HTH!
i've found that it runs tts to a little big. The shoes that run "small" are usually the ones that i need my size in. For example, i wear between a 9 and a 10, and i need a 9 if they run big, and sometimes a 9.5 (my size) if they run "small." You are probably an 8.5 or 9- 8.5 if the shoe runs large.
I can also go from a 8-10 even! I have become obsessed with ordering Jcrew shoes on e-bay. I have gotten a 9 for the pointy flats and an 8.5 for a sandals. I might have some that you are looking at and then I can give you a review. They are all very cute but keep in mind their shoes are pretty stiff and take a little breaking in.
I almost exclusively wear a 9 and have somewhat narrow feet. I bought the manhattan suede loafers online in a 9 and had to return them because they were way too tight, I tried on a couple of pairs in other colors to make sure that it wasn't just that pair and found them both too small. I now have a pair in 9.5 that I bought on EBay and they are ok, the right foot still feels a little small but I'm hoping they will stretch as I've only worn them twice. I then bought a pair of the Carrie flats in a 9 and found them a little big! I put heel grips in and now they are fine, although taking a while to breack in! I would try and try on the style in the B&M if you can as they REALLY seem to vary and you may not be able to return the ones you buy Ebay .
HTH

I own a few pairs of JCrew shoes, and have tried on countless others, and have consistently found that their sizing varies wildly depending on the shoe. I own boots in size 7, flats in 7 1/2, and another pair of flats in a 6 1/2. It's very unpredictable, IMO!
i am consistently an 8 everywhere, but i find that most j.crew shoes run about a 1/2 size small. i have a few pairs of their flats, all in size 8.5, and i have one pair of boots that are an 8. i think you really have to try them on, but as a general rule i have to say they tend to run small.
I would have to say overall tts or slightly small, but they are really all over the map I usually run 7.5-8 in shoes...my foot is slightly wide...and in most JCrew shoes I wear an 8. My ballet flats, pointy toe flats and boots are all 8's. I have a pair of the Manhatten loafers and they run really small...so I have 8.5 in those. This past summer season I found the sandals ran big and I bought either 7 or 7.5 in them. It might be tough to buy off of Ebay, but I guess you could always re-list them if they didn't fit.
Thanks for all the replies! The shoes I am looking at are the Newberry Suede Bow Flats:
Anyone have these? They have them in both a 9 or a 9.5; I know I would need them in at least a 9 because of the pointy toes, but I'm wondering if I should go up another half size. They seem to sell well, so I'm not worried about being able to resell them, but I've been looking for nice, pointy black flats for a while, so it would be a shame if I got the wrong size.
