I want to buy a pair of really nice boots. They must be knee-high, with a skinny heel 2 1/2 inches or less, zipper, black, pointy toe, and leather. I want to buy a pair I can wear for the next 5 years. I have found some that I really love, but need thoughts on.
This pair is Michael Kors and cost $248. They are studded. I like these a lot but am wondering i they are a style that will last a few years or are they too trendy to wear next year.
While you may still be wearing those first ones for years, you may also just get sick of them personally, regardless of what the current trends are. I love the second ones- they look soooo nice, perfect for boots that you plan on wearing for years.
I'm also partial to the Via Spiga pair. I have a pair of Via Spiga boots that I got years ago and they still look as good today as the day I bought them. They've held up amazingly well, and the style is so classic that they'll still look good years from now, and their CPW will be next to nothing.
I like the Via Spigas best. However, if you are totally drawn to the Michael Kors... you may end up liking them more in the future regardless of how "in" they are, but the reverse is also totally possible...
Via Spigas for sure! And anyways, if you wear them for five years (which you probably will AT LEAST) that's like less than 70 dollars a year towards boots! Definately worth it!
