I am looking for a book for my 6 year old about "mommy having a baby".  It's become quite a topic for her at school now too and i want to be able to help her understand things.  She drew some pictures in her journal that were pretty "grapic" and she seems to have some understanding of how the baby get's here, no idea where she saw this.  I just want to be able to help her deal with the whole prcocess.  Anyone know of any thing?

I know Mom had a book, but I can't remember the name of it... I'll try to remember.

I meant an understaning of laboring and delivery, just to clear that up.  Not how the baby get's made...But I guess a girl at school's mom just had a baby and she "explained" some things.  Boy I wonder what 6 year olds tell eachother?!

My son was 6 when I got pregnant and he knew quite a bit (like that the baby was not coming out of my belly button)  Ask her what she knows. Don't give her more info than what she asks for.  Most kids won't ask for things that they're not ready for.  I had a poster that showed the different stages.  Check out the hospital your delivering at.  They usually offer big sibling classes. My son participated in one of these.  They will usually give you a book along with the class.
