Grrggghhh I hate charlotte, and I want her to go away. Also Marissa is annoying me. Even though her acting is getting better, i can't believe she made such a big fuss about Ryan moving and now she is intrested in Johnny. Plus I thought Johnny and that girl were together. I guess I was wrong. Anyways, I still love Summer she makes the funniest comments. I loved how she tried to break the ice at dinner by saying she loves parrots and then making parrots sounds. Plus i am so happy that sandy and kirstin are back being normal together again.

I was cracking up when she made the parrot sound!! I love Summer too. I thought it was an okay episode. Seemed very typical and expected, but I was so happy it was back on that I didn't care!

And it was an ok episode. Ryan bugs me with his posturing and righteousness, but I guess that is his character. And Marissa is kind of irritating. I do love Summer. Ok, I watch it mostly for Seth.
Ryan bugs the crap out of me with all of his drama. He's such a whiny baby. It was sort of cute when he was 15, but come on -- time to grow up.
I love Seth and Summer, especially Summer's line about the hotel. I love that the show's writers recognize how cheesy everything is.
By the way, why is it that in a city the size of Newport, everyone can always find each other so quickly? It's like, if they're not at home, they must be at the Peach Pit (or whatever they call that restaurant ) or the beach. Do they never get stuck in traffic?

I'm sure some other LA/OC girls can give better input, but I spent a summer in Newport Beach (actually it was the summer when they were filming the 1st season of the OC and they gave out cheesy hats and shirts) and it really does have that small town kind of vibe. By that I mean everyone knows everyone and you always run into people you know. There is always that connection between people. The same people are always at the same places (like the same old man at Sharkey's everytime I passed by). Also traffic was never really a huge problem for me in NB. Sometimes it would get a little busy around 5-6, but it was never anything that was unmanageable. Anyway I just wanted to share my thoughts. =)

It was great to see the show back, but I wasn't crazy about this episode. I loved the Summer comments about parrots too. After each episode I wish they would just focus on Seth and Summer and forget about Ryan and Marissa. The whole "Ryan's becoming a fisherman" story was so lame to me -- and no one mentioned how dangerous that kind of fishing is, either. It is really nice how back to normal Sandy and Kirsten are, and I love how she's learning to cook.

Ditto, totally.
I think they should make Seth and Summer more "coupley". You never see them kiss or anything, they seem more like buds.
What is up with Jeri Ryan? I can't stand her character. I wish they would go somewhere with this storyline, its really dragging on.

I think Johnny and his girlfriend want some threesome action. That's just my opinion. It was just weird the way his girlfriend wanted Johnny and Ryan to become friends; she was eyeing him up weird.
I LOVED when Summer did the parrot thing...that's totally something I would do. I agree that they should really show Seth and Summer kissing or something because they seem like brother and sister. I really like them as a couple and wish the story would develop more.
I watch the show basically for Seth too Sage! I think he's so cute!
Overall the episode was all right but the previews for next week pissed me off with Marissa being all, "he understands me, Ryan" about Johnny. Annoying.
Yes! ITA about the whole "he just gets me, ryan" thing being annoying. Wasn't Oliver the last guy she said understood her? We know how well that turned out. I'm repeating myself here, but it's so annoying how Marissa always has these other people who want soooo badly to be there for her and be close to her like immediately upon meeting her for the first time.
It's been a bit boring so far this season, so I am hoping that next week's "wild" episode will live up to it's name. I think Summer is my favorite character now, she's so funny, and so much easier to like than Marissa. I loved her parrot comment!
I wish they would wrap-up the Charlotte storyline, it's really starting to drag.
I wish they would make Seth and Summer more coupley too, they do seem more like buds.
