i was never a boot person, so i think it must be all the fabu boots (faboots! ...sorry) that you ladies have been posting.  my checking account blames you all!


with that being said, i've been wanting the j crew chelsea flat boots (the tall ones) for the past 2-3 seasons, but the $195 was kinda steep. besides, they're sold out online in my size anyway


so i found a pair on ebay that are in a size 8.5.  the problem is that i've tried them on before (with socks, but not thick ones), and a 7.5 fit a little on the snug side, and an 8 seemed about right. 


should i 'settle' on this size?  i dont want my foot to start sliding around and 'popping' out into the shaft of the boot, if that makes any sense whatsoever. should i wait and hope someone else sells them on ebay?
