Practical winter shoes

I don't hate them. I'm hoping they're sleeker IRL. I needed something flat-ish that I can wear with jeans and socks. I don't like the lace-up oxford look. Shoes like this tend to make my feet look big. Well my feet are big, is probably why.

There's a mall that's only a block away from where I transfer buses on my way home from work and it's not been the most healthy of things. I've done more clothes shopping since I've moved to Portland than when I ever lived in Philly.

Picked these up from J. Crew, the t-necks in particular are awesome. Great fitting with thin but warm knit.

(Love this sweater dress! It's a little big but I'm hoping I can shrink it. It has the greatest shape and doesn't highlight every single lump and bump on my belly/thighs area like most other sweater dresses!)

And a tweedy dress from H&M for Thanksgiving, and a grey tee from The Limited that I'm already regretting because I wore it today and I feel like it's a bit too short.

And these socks in 3 colors. They are by Wigwam (style: below 40) and they are the GREATEST socks ever. So warm. I can't even wear them if it's above 40 degrees out because my feet will feel like they are on fire.

Unfortunately I could not find a dress I liked for BF's upcoming office holiday party. Where are all the pretty cocktail dresses?! I didn't think this would be a hard search! Anyway, I did unearth an old dark blue silk skirt in my closet, and I remembered a cream lace shell I used to wear with it. Went searching online and found this:

Kelly- how does that AE sweater fit? I'm looking for a cute wintery pull over and I love that one. Oh, and it's a rule of thumb that you'll only find cute dresses when you don't actually need one.
