So, this weekend I met a guy!!!!!! And he's cute and I like him He's a friends with my best friend in law school (they grew up together) so she's excited and told me what a great guy he is.

He asked me out this weekend. AND this is kinda weird. One of his friends is getting married and there's a big honeymoon-themed shower this weekend. And I'm going as his date. Thank goodness my friend's going to be there too... like dating with a chaperone. We're also going out on Friday night, but the shower is on Saturday night.

So it's from 5pm- 8 pm. Apparently there are going to be a lot of people there. My friend told me it should be dressy casual and she'll probably wear a cute top and jeans. I'd rather wear a skirt but I'm open. Also, I HAVE to wear flats. He's only 1 inch taller than me. I know this isn't a problem but I don't want to be towering over him when I meet all his friends. So any sexy, fashionable flats and great outfits would be awesome. And they have to be in brick and morter stores since I only a few days to pull this all together.

PLEASE post lots of ideas... Thank you all SO much!!!!!

Congrats, SFC! So, how tall are you? Since your friend said dressy casual, I am wondering if a denim or corduroy skirt would work?

SFC- What stores are closest to you? I will find you something! Like do you have Nordstrom, Ann Taylor Loft, other stores that you don't find everywhere.

hmm, you always do so good for yourself, i don't know where to start.  Maybe for a classic/slightly preppy look you could do something like this,  it reminds me of the holidays for some reason.  Worn with your fabulous jewelry, of course.

 in cream, grey, or black

pussy willow skirt

in green with the pink skirt, but i love both colors so thought i'd post both- they have a slight heel but are so pretty.  Zappos is quick with shipping.  For some reason, i can see them on your feet.  http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/4850217/c/7.html

I also can see you in something like this:

(maybe because you have vintage chanel blazer in this color )

with a braided waist black silk skirt I saw at Anthro- or basically any "pretty" and unique holiday skirt, either silky and flowy, or tight to show figure and then flared- like skirt above.

then with these shoes again:

when I think of you, I think of bold, clean colors (not muddy browns, dusty roses, etc) and strong and classic shapes.

Chic- we have every typical mall store here and every major, national department store except Bloomingdales.

Lynnie- I really like your outfit ideas. I'm also VERY impressed by your memory... I do have blue, vintage Chanel jacket.

I'd wear something like this...

But it's not very hot if that's what you're going for. I don't do "hot."
