I would assume that most of those huge Halloween stores that open every year in October would have wigs like that. I'd try there first. Cute idea for a group costume! Did you guys fight over who gets to be Betty White?

I second the costume shops, but also Amazon has a bunch at low prices!

Searching is a bit hairy (har har). Here is what I did.

Search "wigs" in all departments

Choose women's wigs

Filter by color - Start with gray - white - then look at brown or whatever colors you think will work.

Hahaha! No, we didn't. Our one friend is shorter, the other is tall, so they are Sophia and Dorothy, respectively. That left me and my best friend and I've always said I'd go as Blanche, so she got Rose. I told her she has to tell St. Olaf stories all night.

Pollyjean- LOL!!!!!! God, I hope that isn't permanent! One of my writing teachers at college used to write for The Golden Girls. It wasn't quite such a cool thing back then in the 90's. Now he would be the most popular teacher on campus.

So one of the members of our group didn't want to do Golden Girls this year, so we've postponed it until next year. Sad! But it gives us a whole year to get it together. These costumes will be fantastic!
